The origins of LOGWAY Informatik AG date back to the 1980s, when the company emerged from the former IPTA AG (Institute for Physical/Technical Contract Research), which itself was launched on the market as a subsidiary of the Technical University of Darmstadt. In the early phase of the company between the 1980s and 2000s, we played a decisive role as pioneers in the field of electronic warehouse management and automation of large industrial warehouses. Initially with infrared data transmission, the system ran on most mid-range (large) computers such as MicroVAX, AS/400, Unix (HP, etc.), but also on IBM-OS/2 to IBM mainframes. The demand for these systems was so great that they were used in various industries and by companies such as Migros, Coop and Roche. 

In 2001, LOGWAY Informatik AG, which was founded by our then founder Mr. Jörg Müller in the Mägenwil business park, began a new chapter in the company's history. Since the beginning, the company has been family-owned and has operated without external financing from investors. Even before LOGWAY Informatik AG was founded, the company already had over 20 years of expertise in the field of digitalization and automation. Coupled with technological progress and advancing digitalization, we have been able to help many customers to consistently digitalize, optimize and automate their processes. In view of digitization, we have set ourselves the goal of bringing companies into the future and thus generating added value for our customers.

After almost 10 years in business, the company decided to take another big step. In 2009, the company moved its headquarters from Mägenwil to the center of Zurich, more precisely to the Technopark Zurich. Thanks to the environment of the new location, the company had access to a broad range of expertise, even outside our own company. With software giants such as Google, Avaloq and Accenture and first-class educational institutions such as ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich and the Zurich Universities of Applied Sciences, the business location of Zurich is ideally suited to providing LOGWAY with a professional foundation for a solid service.

After 20 years, the company management was passed on to the second generation. After the handover of company management, LOGWAY Informatik AG became a business partner with the companyOdoo, which has developed a powerful and fast-growing software platform.
